R&BD Capacity

Established in 1999 as the only NVH Research Institute in Korea, NVH Korea’s R&BD Complex consists of 4 research centers and a pilot building. It is equipped with facilities for carrying out the same advanced automobile sound absorbing materials research as international companies, and facilities for pilot production.
Designated as the first Advanced Technology Center in the industry in 2009, it is where the most advanced NVH technologies are born.

Material Development and Testing: R&BD new materials for interior parts of eco-friendly automobiles of the future; R&BD of eco-friendly materials for customer’s health and emotional satisfaction; R&BD of lightweight, high-performance sound absorbing materials for quieter automobiles; R&D of high performance insulators and heat-resistant materials for reducing energy consumption and improving fuel efficiency

Performance Evaluation and Technology Convergence: CAD System for enabling original and creative engineering through optimal structural analysis and performance evaluations; CAE system for carrying out NVH, structural and collision testing, verifying correlations and models, and optimizing engineering variables based via Web; CAT System and Virtual Testing System for providing technical consultation and testing of all NVH-related issues in an automobile; Connect System for converging technologies from other fields and creating integrated interior parts technologies for automobiles of the future

Development and Testing of Dies, Facilities, and Products: Impeccable die production and pilot production capabilities for developing new materials, technologies, and processes; Produce various pilot products using identical pilot production facilities as manufacturing lines; Impeccable verification of ease of molding, assembly, and reliability through designated production lines for prototypes and pilot productions
